Peter Bergen: The Chinese seem to be pushing the MAGA crowd on one hand, while simultaneously pushing the black lives matter left-wing populist movements. He says it's not only that a lot of academic elites seem to be regarding America as a kind of evil empire; many of them don't identify with being American at all anymore. Bergen: Russia is far more successful at using propaganda to drive wedges or more accurately exploit wedges within U.S. society than any other foreign power has ever been in any American era.
