The difference between gels and filters, if people aren't sure, basically gel changes the temperature of the, or the color of the light. A filter can usually change just the temperature or basically how many lumens you have. There are a bunch that do things like diffusion and warmth. They also have one that will focus the light into a small circle that you can direct if you want a circle of light.
