We've basically taken our collective capital and channeled it in this particular direction. We see dollar general having tons of cash to open thousands of new stores. Meanwhile, local entrepreneurs who are smart can't get a bank loan because we have just starved the other part of our capital system. This is exactly what Wall Street wants to see. It's predatory. These retailers are destroying a lot of the productive capacity of our economy.
