What Is It to Be Real?

If we're in a simulation, the objects around us are real by all three of these criteria. Being made of bits doesn't make them less real. The trees are still real, the particles are still real. And i would argue they're not an allusion. When it seems to me that i'm herin this space with with books, with a coffee cup and so ante, there really is a coffee cup here. Maybe this coffee cup will turn out to be a diginal object made of bits and some computer process but that's not worse than being made of qonto mechanical processes. Quanto mechanics is kind of ethereal, but we still say the coffee cup is is real
