Chaucer's Attitudes Toward Sex

In some ways it seems like it's a perfect reflection of his era. People in the Middle Ages were really open about talking about sex, writing about sex and hearing about sex. But as I say, in the latest centuries, people don't like that. And so you get this like Pasolini's film of the Canterbury Tales in the 1970s which only focuses on sex. It's an absolute contravency of Chaucer's aesthetic vision, which is all about variety.
