The Law of Circumcision and the Law of Consecration

In egypt, when they were in captivity, the practice of circumcision was likely lost, but it was restored before they began to enter the conquest for the promised land. God's covenant with abraham that his ildren and their offspring, his offspring, would be as numerous as the stars. If you were circumcised, you were a jewish insider, and if you are uncircumcised, you are a gentile outsider. We can look at the old testament and see it as a distinguishing, dividing line.
