The Importance of Liquid PE in Investing
The goal is never to take any money out of your great managers and put it in liquid PE. Liquid PE can smooth out the inherent negative market timing in PE. When markets are hot, the prices are high and deals get done; when they're down, nobody's doing anything. And so at the top, when you're doing tons of deals, you have less money in liquid P.
