The Importance of Theology in the Christian Life
I wonder if we have fetishized theology. I don't know a better way of saying it's like we've almost made it too important, which sounds very weird for me to say that. But in the New Testament, repeatedly, people who hold to false doctrine are not members of the church by the false doctrine. So this is the thing about Christianity. It's both thick and thin, right? For people who aren't intellectually gifted, they can pray the rosaries and go to mass with their friends. They can learn enough about the faith so that you can operate in at least an oral level as part of the Christian life. My kids know how to read but probably can't
