In your new book, you point out that we usually require evidence of suffering to prove a child is getting an education. I could not agree more. The real learning is when new experiences or awarenesses connect with existing knowledge and their web of understanding. And that only happens when something is meaningful for them in the present. You talk about our role in supporting real learning as unawakening to the need to know.
