Carl Jung's Red Book + Astrology

CHAPTER

What Is Active Imagination?

Jung began by having visions, you know, and I spoke about this a bit last week. He wondered what was going on with his psyche. And he's doing it through a conscious process that he later called active imagination. An analogy that I use is I think of it as the difference between a naturalist, say collecting butterflies and pinning the butterflies to foam core and naming all the butterflies. This is Jung watching the butterflies, talking to the butterflies, learning from the butterflies.
