Slum Redevelopment in Mumbai - What Are the Critics of the Model?

Mumbai has a slum redevelopment authority which we popularly know as SRA. Most of the projects are stalled of course due to financial issues. A lot of the times if you talk about SRA projects in Mumbai you will see that people are just people say that they are vertical slums. It's just where slums have been cleared to pack all of them in a building with no civic infrastructure like parking, open spaces or width of road. Slum rehabilitation projects are completely ignorant about the fact that they are not only transforming a geographical area of the city but also transforming lives.
