Meek was still having hits, just like Eddie eventually made number five. But in 1963, with the rise of Mersey Beat, he was having fewer and fewer. His mental health was getting worse and worse, especially after he was arrested for solo-sitting. He started getting more and more paranoid that people were stealing his ideas. One by one he cooked ties with business associates like Larry Pounds and Robert Stigwood. Hines got a girlfriend, and everyone was in Meek's bad books. Still turning out the hits, like Have I the Right by the Honeycombs.
