Dear White People by Andy Azizar

The book opens with the words, Dear White People. The novel is about how this feeling of shame and obsession become intensified when Andy's life is suddenly destabilized by communal violence in Northern Nigeria. I think the novel is actually Andy, trying to reflect on the legacy of colonialism, for example. And also about him trying to address the colonizers for making him who he is.
