The Barbie Movie: A Review

Raine: Barbie has been around for decades and this is a film that is great fun, but repositions Barbie in Chocora, the 21st century. So she has changed, but that change is being seized upon like anything and everything in America is seized upon to be a new dividing line. And so, as Emily has said, you have got people on the right saying, oh, this is just woke, this is terrible. But I think Ginger Gates goes further than that. She's the wife of Republican Congressman Matt Gates, I not Bill Gates.
