The extreme heat resilience alliance is a collaboration of 30 plus organizations and individuals dedicated to tackling extreme heat for vulnerable people around the world. She says that heat waves are deadly in part because they're silent, arriving without the furious winds and pounding rain of hurricanes. "We have to create the awareness of how dangerous this risk is," she says.
