The Queen of the Lizards

The queen of the lizards is sprawled out in pain because she's got indigestion. Her guts are full of chemically treated meat like products that humans haven't evolved to digest, let alone critters from 65 million years ago. I check around her right side, trying to make out her eyes. And a dry fern cracks so loud that even i hear it. Not so much the twitch of an eyelid. The irritable mon er keeps staring forward like she doesn't hear a thing. She just wants to day to be over.
