Is Your Email Account Critical to a Two Factor Authentication?

Your email accounts are critical things to lock down a two factor. So if the weak link is your email account, somebody can very simply reset your password with an email that shows up in your inbox. It just doesn't make sense in this day and age when your entire financial life is tied to these few accounts. Those security type questions will be phased out in terms of more secure two factor authentication options.
