When we stimulate with electricity, the nerve doesn't care which direction it goes. What you can hear in muscle that's that has pathology is prolonged insertional activity. So when you stick a needle in a muscle, you're going to hear a very, very brief crackle. But that should abat very quickly, within one to 200 la seconds, and then the muscle should be silent at rest.
