When i joined e and started collaborating with eric a. A, he was actually using very strong, very good, bas line models that didn't use machine learning per se. But i felt like this is exactly the type of rigorous approach i would hope to deal with. So it was important to be working with someone who understood the sit ic rigor and had that approach both at the data signe at the so the biology side and also the computational side.
