The Importance of Free Verse
Free verse is understood as poetry where there's an absence of syllabric metrics and any sort of rhyme scheme. For con, that didn't mean that the text would be totally flat. Guise Avcon in 1891, 20 years before, is already thinking about the shape that the words are going to take. He says, what is a line? It's the simultaneous halting of a thought and the form of the thought. And those few sentences are incredibly loaded with implications.
