The city of San Francisco is facing a $780 million two year deficit. One councilman asked the mayor which proposal she would stand behind, including his proposal to fund a $50 million office that would eventually hand out reparations. The 50 million by the way would be used to secure office space,. hire staff, build databases of likely recipients and so forth.
