"Waiting for a friend is a really good example of a form of waiting that has more or less disappeared in the age of smart phones," says David Perry. "The existence of the technology removes the uncertainty that i think is essential to gen in moments of waiting" He worries we've become much less comfortable with uncertainty than before.
