The Universe Prefers Left-Handed Amino Acids

The universe prefers one kind of chirality over the other. Life flourished on earth because it was more likely to be affected by left-handed mu muons which is what the universe prefers to make and so in a way the universe kind of preferred to make the amino acid that led to us at least here on earth. If there are other planets like ours with an atmosphere they may also prefer the same type of amino acid as we're made out of.
