Introduction

The Tasmanian tiger has been hunted to extinction. There hasn't been a sighting of a Tasmanian tiger since the 1930s. The last known Tasmanian tiger died in captivity in a zoo called Hobart. It had been handed over in 1936 to the local museum, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. And they had lost track of the remains. But yes, and this, I know this is all sounding like bad news. They found it again. So Tasmanian tigers are extinct. They no longer exist. We're staying happy today so let's not talk about that.
