Do You Use External Microphones on Your Android Phone?

An Android phone will not accept an external microphone when recording. So if anyone knows a way of doing this which works with a headphone jack then fantastic. I know there are options using USB-C going into the Android phone as a microphone. But those are the only ones that I've seen on YouTube clips that are successful with recording because clearly you want to have your sound being captured clearly.
