Matt Yellin: 2022 is a great year for trend styles. Trend as a strategy is one of my favorites, and statistically it's the best diversifier to a traditional stock bond portfolio. He says being short bonds in this particular cycle was a monster trade that really would have hedged a traditional portfolio. And if you're going to buy like active stockers, maybe just invest in futures? he asks. "I don't think you are ever going to pick the best manager," Yellin responds.
