You Don't Know the Full Story

When we assume someone's out to get us, we take action to defend ourselves. We don't always want be playing defense. And the big takeaway for me is that there are fewer true villains than you suppose. I thought that was fascinating, and instantly i put myself in a situation. How would i have responded? Would i have destroyed civilization or saved it from destruction? But we jump so fast. Don't spend a ton of time here on causation versus correlation. That's the whole book.
