Sally Kohn: I was raised in a very inclusive home and talked to you about it from a young age. It really became different and more personal to me when my son was born. He has Borenberg syndrome, which is the cause of his deafness. So that's really what has lit me up in the past three years with him. She says we need to start talking to our kids about these differences they may see in the world amongst their friends on the playground or at school. When should we be starting those conversations? she asks.
