The Differences Between Scottish and Irish Folk Music

I write original songs, but I also play songs that are hundreds and hundreds of years old. There's always been a real interest in both the tradition and innovation in the folk scene in Scotland. Irish Trad is a little more in the forefront when you're traveling in Ireland than it is in Scotland. But whenever I stumble into Scottish traditional folk music, it's a magical evening.
