The Importance of Abolition Democracy
Dr. Jerel horne and i had a wonderful conversation about abolition democracy in this week's episode of "This Is Life with James Carville" Du Bois' concept is that you can't just have the abolition of slavery as a negative project but also reconstruction which is a positive building up for black people. In his conception it is a state where only those who work can vote so it's a fundamentally democratic conception of the dictatorship of the proletariat.
