The Conservatives' Role in the NHS

Voters still are tremendously attached to the NHS. But also, they have quite a downcast view of it. Opinion polling recently has picked up that people don't expect the NHS in its current form,. They think it might get replaced by a payment-based model sooner or later. So here's the first question about this subject, where the NHS is in politics. Where are the Conservatives with this?
