The Dot Operator Overload Proposal in C++
There's a proposal to unify member and non-member calling convention. The same idea has already been adopted in some other programming languages. What I will remark on is it's going to make the name lookup rules in C++ even more complicated. It would not surprise me if that ends up having some interesting secondary effects, too.
