The Contribution of the New Economic Thinking
There's about 6 million people organized in trade unions, about 14 or 15 million people who volunteer regularly in organized community groups. All of those community groups together employ about 850,000 workers. The union movement probably only employs about 5,000. So part of the project that we're all involved in here is to reunite those two parts of the working class,. Those who organize in the workplace and those who organizing in the community.
