IVIG: A Practical Approach to Preconception Counseling
There's a lot of different options that mothers can take. IVIG somewhere around $5,000 a dose and if you have to do this,. we usually start around 12 to 18 weeks and carry it throughout the pregnancy each week so that can get very expensive. There are some side effects. Some women don't tolerate it very well and they get headaches and things. The babies then typically are born, they don't have thrombocytopenia if they do It's mild and they're not bleeding and they can get through the pregnancy without being affected.
