The Department of Justice has provided funding to study brain injury an inveterans. The context is just far too different for research on female victims of domestic violence, says Eve Rate. In specifically, women who have experienced partner violence may be strangled which could lead to a strangulation related brain injury. They also will often have other bodily injuries, maybe broken arms, detached retinas, shattered orbital bones.
