Maggie's phone will eventually be found off the side of the road after family member uses find my iPhone to locate it. The fact that the phone has been taken and thrown away means that for some reason he or whoever did this thought there was something on that phone that was problematic irony is it was actually Paul's phone that was troublesome but they took this phone. Alec calls Maggie at 905 15 and he lets it ring for about 15 seconds then there's another call at 906 14 and this call lasts only three seconds  at around the same time Maggie's phone orientation changes indicating that someone picked it up later.
