Mutated Proteins Can Cause Cancer

Some mutations though are so screwed up, they kill a cell. So there's this mutational fitness where you want the mutation to promote cancer but not kill the cell. But we also know that mutated proteins are immunogenic and that can cause your immune system to detect them and then kill them. This trade-off was kind of intuitive which I like when my science makes me think about it. They're suggesting prophylaxis may be less important in non-cancerous lesions than in tumors.
