Is Your Bible a Friend?

Some people reverence their bibles so much that they don't feel comfortable marking them up. But a bible can become like a friend. I think about someone i know who's had the same bible for almost forty years, it's falling apart now. She doesn't want a new one, because it's her friend. And she knows what she's marked in the high lights and the little notations she's made. Those, those speak her her own notes. They help her in her reading as she goes through it.
