pure bloods even believed that it was a sign of weak magic to enjoy non magical company. So you can't even hang out, right? And they seem to believe that some sort of dirtiness of muggles and muggle borns would rub off into those associated with them. Thus they considered blood traders to be filthy as well. For example, the weasley family, biggest group of blood traders there are, pretty much because they were part of the sacred 28. They don't live that way, which is a good thing, because we see what happens with pure blood families over the years. Gaunts are exhibite, eh?
