What Did Uber Do?

When the rule of law is so constraining that you can no longer do anything, what governments tend to do is they're going to make a zone where the laws don't apply anymore. In 1945, Singapore and Hong Kong were approximately swamps,. It's just like any other terrible post-war place. And then 70 years later, you have these incredible thriving cities, right? Just by having less rules, right? So I think very deeply that technology, the reason that it's interesting, the reason people let me spend time in it, is not because there's some inherent magic in computers; it's because there's no rules.
