Java 21: Should Tomcat Support Jakarta E11?
If Tomcat moves to Jakarta E11, would it be like a hard requirement that all apps using Tomcat for Jakarta E11 would need to now? It's the answer is that it depends. If I think if Tomcat can compile the Jakarta E11 APIs that it needs with Java 17, unless Loom comes along, there isn't really any strong case to move to Java 21.
