The Google Pixel watch will sample your heart rate at a rate. I guess your pulse at a rate of once every second. And according to Google, that's a lot faster or more frequent than competing smart watches. You can either add your favorite people's pictures as the background, which for me will be lots of selfies. So you have glanceable access to your steps progress and all that stuff.
