The Target Knows You're Pregnant

Jake is a data scientist. When did you start o see some of the down sides around big data? Really? The article that i used to point to as like the beginnings of the tide turning to the negative was the article that was titled very slaceously, target knows you're pregnant. That title alone should, you know, make everyone's skin crawl. But that the problem is that that shouldn't be the case. We think of there are so many opportunities to be using data and algorithms to see where disease outbreaks will occur or predict what kind of conditions you might have.
