The Different Degrees of Insularity in Haredi Judaism
Haredi is now the term we use for ultra-orthodox, ultra-orthodox is deemed offensive. Depending on the subset of Haredi Judaism, we see various degrees of insularity. I think the Satmar sect is one of the most insular. As you move towards more insularity, you also move towards a more old school traditional dating system with a matchmaker.
