Movie Review - The Deer Hunter
Screenwriter Tom Mankovitz wrote the first outline for Moonraker in March 1978. It wasn't an outline that was particularly well received, nor much of it actually used. The film and Moonraker was going to go very, very far away from Ian Fleming's source text. Roger Moore at this stage had completed his initial contract to play 007. And so James Bond would return.
