When we use examples like your mind as a stage, or you can control your thoughts, um, that might be actually really helpful for some people. It can also be really damning for others. And the approach that i try to use with my clients and also personally, is one of acceptance that all of us have thoughts that we don't want to have. Sometimes it's our brain tricking sometimes it's a glitch in the brain, and it's not something that we have control of.
