The Death of Monarchs
The migration of monarchs is one of the earth's last great migrations. Scientists estimate migratory monarchs have declined by 90%. If monarchs were people, this would be like losing every person living in the U.S., except for those in Ohio and Florida. One of the more ominous threats has been the loss of milkweed plants in agricultural habitats due to shifting agricultural practices.
