Are Your Words Teaching Your Kids the Values of the World?

I really feel like kids are tracking how we behave in the world, and our actions are and our words are really lectures to them. It's much more that we're trying to enact our values in the world so that they are modelling that. And i think it is a disservice that white parents take the time to be perfect and to craft these scripted conversations because it doesn't allow for that raw emotion,. I see that manifested by white women who show up in these workshops, who are unable to literally have a conversation about racism.
