The Importance of Language in Human Population Migration

There are underlying inherent tendencies in language. There's just certain ways our brains are wired and our mouths work that predisposes us to talk in certain ways. And when languages are created out of two other languages, those natural tendencies will emerge in disparate populations. So there's all sorts of fascinating things you can study with language from tracking evolutionary movement or looking at the way languages formed over time.
