I'd never really considered having a traditional kind of band and I felt like the world I was making needed its own degree of performance structure. The challenge was how do you tour a room instead of a band? And it was around that time that I met a wonderful man, his name is Quincy Jones,. He got me my first gig at the Montre Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
